why greenhouse?…

Green House Aug 18, 2020

The world made up of different kind of things, in that we could easily differentiate between living things and non-living things. When we come to plant aspect, most of us get dilemma to place plant under which category? Isn’t it?……

But plants are living thing, they born, grown, make their own food, they also reproduce their offspring. Of course plant cannot talk verbally but they react to their surrounding, if the air is too cold or hot, they will not grow well. Plants cannot move from one place to another. However, they can grow towards light, and roots can grow toward water in the ground.

Response of the plants to the sunlight

Generally plants grown in open condition face a lot of problems like adverse climatic condition, pest, disease and other challenging aspects Because of this living thing nature.

As we human begins protect ourselves from heat, rain, foggy, and other bad climatic condition through the means of house, likewise plant can also be protected by providing some systematic structure called green house.

Green house means a structure designed to give favorable environment to the plants.

systemic design of greenhouse

How it different from open condition?………

  • extend the growing season:

Green house offers longer growing season when compare to open condition. The reason behind is simple, in green house condition some of the factor like temperature, air, humidity etc, are under the control, which in turn construct favorable mode for plant growth. So it creates a chance to grow off-season plants as a year-round crop.

  • Offer the wide  range of  plant cultivation

Many times we fail to get the good yield from the exotic plant (which adjusted to their native climatic condition) when we grow in open condition. But this lacuna can be overcome through the green house. Green house provide the opportunity to grow the exotic variety by creating optimum growing environment.

  • Encourage the beneficial insect growth

Not all the insects are harm full, some insect play a beneficial role ex, honey bee, lady bird beetle bumble bee, under greenhouse condition these beneficial insect can be protected from the harm full predator and encourage good harmony between the plants and fauna.

A beauty of interaction between flora and fauna

Protection from the pest and diseases:

Pest and disease are the major problem in open garden cultivation.  By planting your plants inside a greenhouse, you give them protection against problems such as rough weather and serious infestation of seasonal pests like tent caterpillars, locust swarms, spider mites, and many more. You can make sure that your plants are healthy and happy all year round.

  • Avoid the drift hazards

As per our knowledge, these days our environment facing lot problem like foggy weather, contaminated water and air etc when you have green house plants can easily escape from these hazardous environment. In addition it can also protect plants from pesticide drift hazard, so that you can enjoy healthy yield.

  • Save the energy:

When using a greenhouse, it’s possible to conserve energy sources like water, since these energy sources can more easily be controlled as opposed to open gardening.

Using a greenhouse is not just about the benefits and advantage’s of growing plants, but also about changing the lifestyle’s and live a more environmentally friendly life.

“A greenhouse requires you to make an initial investment, but the money you spend is well worth it in the long run. With so many benefits, you can see why owning a greenhouse is a judicious idea”
