Growing of the flowering plant along with vegetables has positive advantage, nothing but the flowering plant encourages some pollinator to the garden, through these pollinators we can expect the high rate of pollination.

Then, how we can grow flowering plant?……..

The different flowering plant can grow with help of seed or sapling, but it can be much more fun to grow them yourself from seed. The magical phenomenon of a seed’s germination and transformation into an adult plant is entertaining for both adults and children alike

Selection of seeds

This is crucial point, while selecting flowering seed you should keep some points like, seeds are free from any other seed, and it should be healthy that is seeds should not contain any pest or disease. You can buy the seeds from any shop or else you can go for seeds that you have collected from last season flower.

Selection of containers

There are different kind containers are available in the market, but the choice of the pot depend upon your convenience whether you go for transplanting after sowing or else you directly sow the individually seed in individual pot. But the key point here, ensuring the drainage hole in pot so that we can avoid the excess water in future times.

Selection of potting media

Most of flower seeds are in tiny and delicate in nature hence while selecting media we should ensure porous nature, along with media has contain fertile compost. The best potting media for flowering plant done with combination of compost, cocopeat, perlite, red soil. You can fill the potting media up 3/4^th of the pot size

Once ensuring all the basic things you can easily go for the seed sowing activity,

Before sowing ensure the wet condition of the potting media, so that the sown seed get easily attached to the media. Sprinkle small seeds over the media from the palm of your hand using your finger. Don’t cover small seeds with soil, as it can smother them. Larger seeds can be placed one by one on the media and then covered with a sprinkling of compost. Much larger seeds such as sunflowers can be pushed down below the surface of the media about 1/4″ / 6 mm.

Once after the sowing the pot has to cover with some material, like paper, bag which create dark condition within the pot which in turn encourage the quick germination.

 Once after the germination of plant, the plant can be transplant at which the plant show the 3 to 4 leaf stage. While transplanting based on growth on the growth habit of the plant the pot has to choose.
